1485 prime lambs were forward to average 249.01 (SQQ 249.88). a larger show for numbers where forward selling well in advance of last week’s trade and that seen on Monday. To a top off £137.50 for Beltex lambs from Messrs Craig, Compstonend, Twynholm. Top ppk was 331.3 also for Beltex from Messrs Murdoch, Fauld O’ Wheat, Balmaclellan.

Cast sheep also forward in greater numbers with 649 forward heavy ewes still sold at a premium these sold to a top of £183 from Rascarrel.

Mules sold to £121 from Castlehill and Blackface ewes to £81 from Cullinaw.
