Wallets Marts Castle Douglas sold 499 Store and OTM cattle
Store cattle were a great trade with bullocks averaging 242ppk and heifers 230.5ppk.
304 Bullocks topped £1610 for Limousin bullocks from Messrs Sharp, Barscarrow and 297.3ppk for Angus bullocks from Dalreoch and 168 heifers topped at £1520 for Angus from Messrs Robb, Trolane and to 294.9ppk from Simmentals from Messrs Forster, Howthat Farm.
379 Store lambs topped at £108 for Texels from Messrs McConnel, Gass, Glenluce.
Breeding sheep sold to £140 for Scotch Mules from Messrs Armstrong, Langbarns with Blackface to £132 from Messrs McConchie, Mossyard.

940 Prime hoggs sold to average 252.4ppk (259.13 SQQ)
Hoggs topped today at £138.50 for Beltex from Messrs Craig, Compstonend and top price per kilo was 300ppk for Beltex from the same holding.
410 cast sheep topped today at £200 for Texel ewe from Denty Texels.
