Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Monday 8^th November sold 1199 Store lambs, 227 Store and OTM Cattle

 

Bullocks topped at £1140 for Limousins from Messrs Thomson, Rhonepark and 228.2 again from Messrs Thomson, Rhonepark. Heifers topped at £1140 for Angus’ from Messrs McKinnel, Garrarie and 246.3 from Messrs Fitzsimon, Tregallon. Bulls topped at £1230 from Lantonside and 171.8 from Glen Farm, Gatehouse.

 

A monster show of 101 OTM cattle sold to £1307.13 from Messrs Jardine, Upper Hardland and 207 from Messrs Dunlop, Cannee.

 

1199 Store lambs were a flyer and topped at £120 for Texels from Messrs Jardine, High Barlay more needed in a fortnight to meet the current demand.

Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Ltd on Tuesday 9^th November 2021 had forward 2034 prime and cast sheep.

 

1631 Prime lambs sold to average 266.52 (271.19 SQQ)

 

Lambs topped at £158.50 for Beltex from Achie Farming, Balmaclellan and top per kilo to 340.9 for Beltex again from same home.

 

Cast sheep topped at £142 for Texel from Shennanton Livestock and rams topped at £130 for Texel from Breconiehill.
