Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Monday 10th October sold 1209 Store lambs, 147 Store Cattle, 46 OTM Cattle and 44 Breeding Rams.
Store Cattle topped at £1460 for an Angus heifer from Upper Ardmannoch Farm and 297.5ppk for a Limousin bullock from Messrs Fitzsimon, Tregallon.
OTM Cattle sold to £2006.68 for a bull from Messrs Hansell, Nether Barr and 251ppk, for an OTM steer from Messrs McCuloch, Glentoo.
Store lambs sold to £97 for Texels from Messrs Thomson, East Altercannoch.
Breeding Rams sold to £950 for a Texel from Messrs Watson, High Borgue.

1124 Prime lambs sold to average 218.46ppk . Top today was £122.50 for Texels from Messrs Young, South Quinitinespie. Top per kilo was 263.4 again from Messrs Young, South Qunitinespie.
Please ensure lambs are presented with clean tails as there are a few coming through that haven’t been tidied up.
285 Cast sheep sold to £205 for Texel Ewes from Messrs Smith, Low Arkland.
