WALLETS MARTS WEEKLY PRIMESTOCK SALE REPORT – TUESDAY 14 MAY 2019

Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Tuesday 14 May 2019 had forward 390 Prime and Cast Sheep

 

20 spring lambs sold to a top of £108 for heavy Suffolks from Messrs Newbould, Meikle Cloak and to a top of 228.8ppk from Messrs Watson, High Borgue.

 

259 prime hoggs sold to average 187.78 (SQQ 197.55).  Meated hoggs were a sound trade selling to £108 for heavies from Messrs Eakin-Watt, Drumlane, Laurieston and to 228.8 for lightweight BF hoggs from Messrs Hall, The Hill, Balmaclellan, Castle Douglas.

 

121 Cast sheep were a lighter show forward selling to £96 for Texels from Byrecroft with overfat ewes showing some resistance.
