Kieran,s dream is to follow in the footsteps of Scottish drivers like Allan McNish Dario Franchitti and Ryan Dalziel who has offered encouragement and interest.
The 8 year old competes in the Honda Cadet class which can reach speeds of 60mph. The class is for 8 to 13 year olds and is considered to be the grounding for future stars. Drivers can race at most clubs in the UK and on every weekend of the month. Kieran has chosen to do the West of Scotland club championship at Larkhall. “ its an exciting and fast track and all the best drivers in the UK have driven there including Lewis Hamilton” said Kieran. His enthusiasm is clear to see and his excitement about talking about his sport shows how dedicated and determined this young man is.

Kieran,s dad Steven is also completely dedicated to helping his son succeed. “It takes a lot of time not only to prepare Kieran,s equipment but also to travel to events, i was very nervous watching Kieran progress through the race meeting. His finishing positions in the heats earned him pole position for the final. He managed to post fastest laps and keep his positition to the chequered flag. We are so proud of what he has achieved in such a short period of time. It is a quite expensive sport but we hope to do all we can to keep him racing” said Steven.

Kieran,s next event is down at Three Sisters race track near Manchester. He has never been there before but with this young lads enthusiasm there could be no stopping him.
