It was a horror show in the field for Nunholm as they dropped six catches which cost the team a chance to secure a vital victory.
The first drop came in the fifth over as the whitehaugh opener edge to Andrew Reed at slip only for it to escape his grasp. This proved to be a costly drop as the batsman went on to score 61 before James Cox finally bowled them with a sharp delivery. Whitehaugh were cautious in the early over and Nunholm kept their opponents scoring rate below 3 and over, however with wickets in hand they were able to accelerate the scoreboard at the tail end of the innings. The bowlers were left to getting genuine dismissal as more catches went down. Robbie Huxtable picked up one bowled, James Cox also knocked over the stumps and Reed rescued some pride for the expensive drop with 3 wickets.Whitehaugh ended the innings with 221.
Nunholm started well in reply with Mark Irwin and James Cox pushed the score along to 61 without loss, but eventually Cox fell for 31. A trio of ducks followed as did hope of a vital victory being achieved. Irwin also fell for 31, and it was left to Jeremy Goodin and Adam Elliott to stop the collapse, which they achieved. The score passed 100, but eventually Goodin fell to a direct hit on the stumps, and Elliot was caught. Some good strikes by the lower order added some respectability to the score. Nunholm play Langloan looking to stop the run of defeats.
