9 year old Scottish Karting Champion Kieran Conchie followed on from his success at the Scottish Championships by winning Round 7 of the Cumbria Kart Club Championship last weekend.
After a strong performance in the 3 qualifying heats Kieran lined up on pole for the final. With a change from the regular rolling starts this round seen standing starts for the cadet class which Kieran adapted to well. With a perfect start Kieran controlled the race and took the win.
Kieran told DGWGO Sports news “the first heat was a real challenge starting dry on slicks but raining halfway through meant I had no grip and had to drive really carefully. The final thankfully was dry and it felt great to win for the 2nd month in a row at Rowrah”.
