10 year old Dumfries Race Ace Kieran Conchie who attends Heathhall Primary Pupil enjoyed a podium finish at Cumbria Kart Racing Club for round 4 of the National NKF Championship last weekend.
In what has been a challenging season for the Clan Racing driver the last 2 weekends have helped get his season back on track qualifying in 2nd place at the PFI circuit in Lincolnshire renowned as the most challenging circuit in the UK, taking pole at Cumbria this weekend and finishing 2nd as part of a Clan 1/2.
Kieran told DGWGO Sports News, “With having grown a lot this year I was at a weight disadvantage however, working with Russell at Sporting Warriors and moving onto a lightweight Chassis has helped turn things around.”
Despite the challenges Kieran is currently placed 2nd in the NKF standings having worked hard to secure points.
Kieran Continued “The last 2 weekends have been fantastic and my favourite memory was heat 2 at Cumbria Kart Racing club moving from 20th to 2nd in the 7 minute heat.”
