Queen Of The South Ladies Flip The Mindset With Another Win

Queens took on the exotically named Flip the Mindset Ladies, from Nethercraigs, Glasgow, in the Biffa SWFL South league game at NWCC on Sunday.

Queens didn’t know what to expect as Flip the Mindset are a newly formed team.  In the early stages of the game, although Queens were dominating the play, they were unable to break down the visiting defence and when they did get close to goal, the keeper was in good form, mopping up everything that came within range.  It took until the 33rd minute before Queens took the lead when striker Georgia Wilson made the breakthrough, and the same player added a second goal just 3 minutes later.  As half time approached, 2 goals from Siobhan Hodgson gave Queens a 4-0 half time lead.

The second half was mainly one way traffic, with further goals coming from Alexandra Connon, Holly Ovens, and doubles from Megan Hodgson and Jordyn Gallagher making the final score 10-0 to Queens.

Queens now sit top of the league with 4 games played, and with the team playing some excellent passing football, there is a growing confidence about the team.

This Sunday, the Ladies visit 3rd placed Kilwinning for what is sure to be a fiercely contested match.
