Scotland Debut For James – Cricket News

Dumfries first team bowler James Hobman made his Scotland debut during the week when selected for Scotland U17s in their tour matches against Cheshire.

Meanwhile on Sunday at Nunholm local women’s team players Orla Montgomery, Niamh Muir and Emma Fordyce played for West U18s against the East in two close T20 matches in the Scotland pathway girls Regional Series. Captain Montgomery bowled the last over as the West won a tense second game finish by one run to level the results with one win apiece.

Summer holiday sessions: Next week sees the start of the Dumfries Cricket Club summer holiday coaching programme with sessions aimed at providing children aged 5 to 13 with a great first experience in cricket as part of the free “Dumfries & Galloway Amazing Summer” programme. Sessions are available for Girls Only (7-13), and 5-8 and 9-13 age groups as well as Disability Cricket sessions.
