Scottish Curling 2022 Men’s & Women’s Championships To Be Held At Dumfries Ice Bowl Arena

Scottish Curling is excited to announce that it will be presenting the 2022 Men’s & Women’s Championships in the Dumfries Ice Bowl Arena.

The venue is no stranger to hosting world class competitions, welcoming curlers from 34 nations to the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in 2014 (pictured) as well as regularly hosting International Ice Hockey Federation events.

There is plenty of hard work going on behind the scenes to ensure that the Scottish Curling Men’s & Women’s Championships returns better than ever after the disappointment of the event cancellation in 2021.

With the event now taking place in the arena, curlers will have the chance to experience competing in an environment similar to that of international championships.

The move to the arena will also allow Dumfries Curling to offer the unique opportunity for visitors to try the sport in the curling rink during the Championships through Try Curling sessions, corporate events, away day matches and much more.

Dumfries has a reputation for nurturing curling talent, and there will be a number of local stars in the field as the Championships take place from 21-27 February 2022.

Dumfries Curling along with partners Dumfries & Galloway Council are looking forward to welcoming Scotland’s best curlers to the region at a time when all eyes will be on curling following the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing earlier in the month.
