Wallace Hall Pupil Takes Scottish Under 14 Karate Champion Title

Thirteen year old Aeron Greenland from Dumfries travelled to Edinburgh on Sunday the 4th of June to compete in the Scottish Karate Governing Body (SKGB) National Kata Championships.

Aeron a pupil at Wallace Hall Academy has been practising Shotokan Karate since the age of 4, initially Aeron competed in the Shotokan section, winning all of the judges votes in four rounds of competition Aeron became Scottish Shotokan Champion.

Aeron then competed in the all styles final which consists of the top four boys of each different style of karate, they are Shotokan, Shito Ryu and Wado Ryu. After another four rounds of competition losing only one of the judges votes Aeron became the all styles under 14 Scottish Karate Champion.

Aeron trains in Glasgow and with Stewartry Budokan.
