SHARKS PUT EVENTS ON 'ICE' DUE TO COVID-19

The BCD Solway Sharks were unable to hold their planned Awards night and race night this season due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the resulting restrictions that are affecting us all.  With the safety of everyone uppermost in everyone’s minds there are tentative plans in place to hold the event at the beginning of the new season.

As the event was already planned various prizes had been purchased by club, but these will not now be needed for some time.  The club committee decided to donate the sweet treats that were planned as prizes to local NHS staff, to show everyone’s support and gratitude for their hard work, and committee member Michelle Mitchell dropped them off at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for the staff to enjoy.

Michelle Edgar of NHS Dumfries and Galloway said, “The Staff Support and Wellbeing Team  appreciate the donation of choccies from  the Solway Sharks, we will share them across health and social care teams who provide our services 365 days of the year – thank you again”
