Sharks Sign Playoff Champion Netminder

The Solway Sharks are extremely pleased to announce the signing of Jordan Marr. The Scottish Netminder spent the last five seasons with the Peterborough Phantoms where he established himself as one of the most successful netminders in the league winning five trophies in five years.

Over the course of his career, Jordan has proven his ability to compete on the biggest stages. He was a monumental part of the treble-winning Phantoms team back in 2018/19. Jordan had an exceptional post-season performance this year with the Phantoms as he was the backbone of the 2023/24 Playoff winning side. Through 8 games he posted a stat line of 2.90 GAA with a .920 Save Percentage and a record of 6-1-0 proving once again that he is the type of competitor that rises to the occasion in the big moments.

The Sharks’ new star netminder had this to say regarding his move to Solway, “I’m really excited to be a Solway Shark for the 24/25 season. After meeting with John Strange, Martin Grubb, Craig Peacock, John Dunbar and other members of the Sharks organisation and hearing about the returning core players and potential new signings, I knew that Solway is a club aiming to build and take that next step at the National League Level. I’m grateful for me and my family to be given the opportunity to be part of building something special in Dumfries. I can’t wait to get the season started and get the Sharks back in the hunt for some Silverware.”

The Solway Sharks are beyond excited to welcome Jordan, his partner Valeen and son Cameron to Dumfries for the upcoming season.

General Manager, Craig Peacock had this to say regarding the new signing, “We are absolutely thrilled to get Jordan over the line. He has proved throughout his career to be a winner and a true professional. His competitive nature will no doubt have a positive impact on our team. It is so important to have a strong netminding duo and we are very pleased to have this addition alongside Calum Hepburn.”
