Upper Nithsdale Pfc Kick-off New Season With Sponsored Strips Thanks To Buccleuch

Upper Nithsdale Primary Football Club will be going for gold this season following receipt of striking new strips sponsored by Buccleuch – owners of Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate.

The team, open to all primary school pupils of all ages from across the Upper Nithsdale region, compete in all regions throughout Scotland.

The recent agreement with Buccleuch has enabled the purchase of new sponsored kits ready for this new football season.

Dougie Taylor, coach of Upper Nithsdale PFC said: “We are very excited about the new Buccleuch sponsored kits – the boys really look the part in them. As we kick off the 2016 football season our new kit has helped to bring the team together and will set us in good stead for our upcoming games.
“We’d like to thank Buccleuch Estates and Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate for its support. Local support and sponsorship like this is crucial when it comes to helping amateur sports teams like ours to thrive.”

Anna Fergusson, Visitor Services Manager at Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate, added: “We are proud to support the Upper Nithsdale primary football team. We are always looking at ways we can help our local communities so when we heard the team were looking new strips we were more than happy to lend a helping hand.”

The new Buccleuch branded kits look great and the team really love wearing them which is incredibly encouraging.”

Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate is preparing to open its doors to the Adventure Playground and Gardens from 15th – 30th October, giving kids the opportunity to enjoy their own autumn adventure on the Estate during the school half term break. The Rangers have moved their centre down to the Adventure Playground and will be running activities from their base every day. For more information visit www.drumlanrgicastle.co.uk
