9 year old Dumfries Karting hero ‘Keiran Conchie’ took the win at Cumbria Kart Racing Club in Rowrah while competing in round 6 of the Club Championship this weekend 10th & 11th of July 2016.
A foggy and extremely wet Saturday seen the Honda drivers not practicing so set up on Sunday morning was a gamble. With a 2nd and two 1st places in the qualifying heats he lined up in pole position. In the 10 minute final Kieran led from lights to flag finishing 12.2s ahead.
Kieran told DGWGO Sports News “in wet conditions Rowrah can be really tricky and changing to slicks too soon can be risky but we got it timed perfectly. I managed to pick up a good number of points this weekend which is really good for the championship”.
