WORLD MOTORSPORT STAR SHOWS SUPPORT TO 10 YEAR OLD DUMFRIES KART RACER

10 year old Dumfries lad Kieran Conchie is one of Scotlands youngest and hottest, rising motorsport stars. Kieran a pupil at Heathhall Primary School recently held games evening on November the 8th 2017 where he was shown great support by local businesses, his guests and fellow racing drivers including Dumfries and Galloway’s very own World endurance champion Allan McNish.

DGWGO’s RB was invited along on the evening held at the showroom of Crossflags Nissan Dumfries. The evening kicked off with host Roland Proudlock introducing Keiran to everyone and telling the crowd all about the array of games and competitions and prizes on offer , despite suffering a loss of voice Roland really showed his enthusiasm for Kieran and belief in his abilities.
 
The games included a racing simulator, a tire changing comeptition, Scalextric racing, how fast could you get into the racing suit and helmet competition, a Motorsport quiz, a fantastic Motorsport auction. Plus an interview with British GT racing driver Ciaran Haggerty Racing who finished his own work in Paisley at 6pm and drove down to support the event.
Ciaran said ” What a great event here at Crossflags Nissan Dumfries supporting young DoonHamer Kieran Conchie Racing  who is supported by Clan Racing.”
 
To conclude the evening the audience were treated to a video message from none other than 3x Le Mans winner and World Endurance Champion Allan McNish.

 

In the video message that he specially recorded for Kieran from the pits while he was at work doing TV presenting he talked about the success Kieran has had to date, how he’s glad to see another local driver making his way in the sport and a personal message to Kieran to “Keep it flat out!” it’s the only way and he hopes to see Kieran winning an international championship in the future”.
