‘Rattle and Hum’ To Return After 15 Year Absence – The Venue, Dumfries

Dumfries and Galloway U2 Tribute band Rattle and Hum, have reformed after a 15 year absence for a special show to celebrate 30 years since the release of the 1987 album The Joshua Tree.

The show to be held at the Venue in Dumfries on Friday 25th May will feature the band covering the complete Joshua Tree album for the first set and then a mixture of U2’s other songs favoured by the band.

Rattle and Hum began playing in 1997, just as the tribute scene was starting. The Dumfries and Annan based band played some great gigs locally and also played to capacity audiences around Scotland. The highlight was being asked to play the Mathew Street Festival in Liverpool in 1999 to over 12,000 people.

The band line up has had a slight change due to availability and features originals, Lee McCraw on vocals, Colin Carpenter on Bass and Sandy Sweetman on drums with John Rafferty and Bryan Williamson adding to the line up on guitar and keyboards respectively.

Tickets are available in advance from Barnstorm Records in Dumnfries for £5 or £6 on the door.
