Police officers in Dumfries want to trace the following described man in connection with the theft of a handbag from the premises of Subway in High Street, Dumfries at around 3.40pm on Friday 15 September 2017.
Just prior to this theft, a 67 year old woman from Ayr had been in the premises and left her handbag unattended when leaving. The following described man was seen to enter the premises, in the company of three others, pick up the bag and leave. He is described as being in his 30s, about 5’8″ tall, stocky build, bald head and had a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
The bag was later found on the street however was missing over £50 in cash.
Constable Alistair Hope in Dumfries said “we want to hear from anyone who may have been using the Subway food outlet in the High Street on Friday afternoon and saw what happened or can help us identify this man. Police at Dumfries can be contacted on the 101 number.”
