Service As Usual For Dumfries Farmers’ Market During Train Station Improvement Works

A popular monthly market is continuing to run while access improvement work takes place at Dumfries railway station.

Dumfries Farmers’ Market features more than 30 local food and drink producers as well as a selection of artists and crafters. It takes place on the first Sunday of every month between 10:30am and 2:30pm with an extra date in the run up to Christmas.

The event is held at the railway station’s Victoria Pavilion on Lovers Walk. During the work, which is set to continue until next summer, some of the stalls will be located in the River of Life Church’s car park.

The next markets will be held on Sunday 5 November, Sunday 3 December and Sunday 17 December.

Peter Johnston, Dumfries Farmers’ Market chairman, said: “The market remains very much in business while work takes place at the train station.

“We’ll have the usual fantastic selection of stalls providing some of the best produce Dumfries and Galloway has to offer.

“We thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to seeing you on the first Sunday of every month (except January) including the two dates in December for our Christmas markets.”
