Annan Rotary’s Collaborative Effort Yields £1,200 for Guide Dogs and Rotary Initiatives

A recent collaborative effort between Annan Rotarian Jim Ferguson and Eastwood Rotary member Rob Wilkinson resulted in a significant fundraising success. The duo, along with other Eastwood Rotary members, orchestrated an event that raised an impressive sum of £1,200, inclusive of Gift Aid. The proceeds were equally divided between two deserving charities, Eastwood Rotary and Guide Dogs for the Blind, each receiving 50% of the total amount.

Star Attraction at Circus Vegas

Colin Hethrington and Lynn Hethrigton, prominent figures from Eastriggs, gained attention at the Circus Vegas held at Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow. Accompanied by their Guide Dogs, Yozi and Jumble, they became the highlight of the event, captivating both children and parents alike. The presence of these hardworking and endearing Guide Dogs elicited excitement and admiration from attendees.

Acknowledgement is due to the owners, management, and performers of Circus Vegas for their remarkable support in facilitating this annual fundraising endeavour. Their cooperation and contribution, particularly in providing the venue within the Car Park Area of Silverburn Shopping Centre, Glasgow, significantly bolstered the success of the event.
