Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a drugs recovery worth over £360,000 in Newton Stewart.
Around 11am on Tuesday, 9 June, 2026, officers executed a warrant at a property on Victoria Street where a cannabis cultivation was discovered within.
A total of 614 cannabis plants were recovered with an estimated street value of £368,400.
The two men, aged 37 and 22, are due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 10 June, 2026.
Further enquiries remain ongoing.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “This was a significant recovery which highlights our commitment to tackling the supply and distribution of illegal substances on our streets. We will continue to take proactive action to remove drugs from our communities.
“Intelligence from the public is vital. If you have any information about drugs, please bring it to the attention of police. We will fully investigate and take the appropriate action.
