Beatrice and the Pebble Hunt Crusade for Our Wonderful NHS

Inspired by Captain Tom Moore who has raised over £30M for the NHS,17-month old Dumfries girl was so inspired by Captain Tom Moore and his fund raising for the NHS that she is currently raising money herself via her JustGiving page for the NHS too.

Beatrice is collecting pebbles on her daily walks with her parents around Kingholm Quay harbour, The Crichton and other places near where she lives.

Matthew George (Beatrice’s Dad) told DGWGO “We set a really small target as just we thought we’d do it for a bit it fun to raise money (as she was collecting pebbles anyway!) but she’s already had over £130 of donations in just a few days, some from people we don’t even know.”
On her Just Giving Page, 17 month old Beatrice states “From now until whenever the current COVID-19 Lockdown restrictions are lifted, I have decided I am going to collect pretty pebbles every day on my walk with Mumma and Daddy around the beautiful harbour where we live here at Kingholm Quay, the Crichton Gardens and other places where we quietly exercise.
I will choose one pretty pebble each day and put it in a special pot – but once the Lockdown restrictions have been lifted I am going to make sure every single pretty pebble is returned to the harbour just as nature has intended.
I love pretty pebbles but I also love Our NHS so I thought this was the perfect challenge for me!
