Join In With Nith Inshore Rescue At The Glencaple Annual Shore Clean Up

The Annual Glencaple Shore Clean-Up organised by Nith Inshore Rescue will take place on Sunday 14th of April.

This is usually well attended by volunteers to help clear the foreshore of the plastic and waste that washes up with the tide every year.  The rubbish, as well as being unsightly, creates a hazard to walkers, dogs and more so to wildlife in this area.

The clean up starts at the Quay End, Glencaple at 10:30 and should take no longer than a couple of hours.

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, Scottish Natural Heritage, Nith Inshore Rescue, Caerlaverock Estate, The Boathouse and Kingholm Harbour Group are all getting involved to clear their foreshore of litter.

The Boathouse will kindly provide free tea, coffee and juice on the pier for the volunteers.

All volunteers are very welcome and are requested to meet at the Quay End in Glencaple at 10:30.  Please bring gloves and appropriate clothing.   All other equipment is supplied.

This event is kindly sponsored by Peter Haining Kitchens.
