Inter Galloway AFC is an amateur sports club that are looking to start up in the Dumfries Sunday amateur league in 2022. They also provide free sports sessions to all ages of the community.
DGWGO went along to meet up with Trevor Adams of the club at Glentrool playing fields in Lochside, Dumfries to find out more.
Trevor Adams said: “We’ve set up a training session for the adult team. We’ve also got youth training football started as well. It’ll start on the 31st of March at the YMCA and we’re going to be bringing it to all to the deprived areas of Dumfries.
So basically, it’s out there for any child and any adult who wants to come along play football free snacks after training.
‘Communities working together’
“It’s all looking working together coming together and working together, the partnership’s been brilliant it’s open to any anybody any child from five to 16 years of age more than welcome even their parents can come along and it’s all free for the communities
Trevor also thanked the staff at Lochside and Summerhill Community Centre for all their support.
