Following their Dress Down Friday support for the Upper Nithsdale Riding for the Disabled charity last year, the team has followed that up with funds for Clark’s Little Ark.
The Sanquhar-based community farm provides relaxation and therapy, helping both children and adults to understand the importance of animal welfare, health care and nutritional needs. The aim of the ark is to offer visitors the opportunity to experience animals at close hand.
A further £200 of funding raised by the Dumfries team will also be provided to Dumfries and Galloway Mental Health Association. Going forwards the team will raise much needed funds for First Base Agency, a small independent food bank which provides 4000 emergency food parcels a year to local families.
Michael Pagan, Scotland TranServ’s Area Network Manager said:
“Our team all live within the local area, and it’s important for us to support our local communities. Clark’s Little Ark is the perfect example of a small local charity that relies on donations to keep delivering a fantastic service. Through weekly donations raised as part of our Dress Down Fridays, we’ve kept funds raised within the community. That’s also the aim of our efforts going forward as we support deserving local charities.”
