Local Animal Hospital Launch appeal to Help Australian Wildlife

The team from  South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital, based in the grounds of SRUC Barony Campus near Dumfries have launched an appeal to help Australias Wildlife, that is being devastated with the terrible fires currently.

A Spokes person from the charity ran South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital  Said “As we are sure you are all aware, the devastation to Australia’s wildlife is huge and heartbreaking. Over the last couple of weeks we have been quietly working away collecting donations from our suppliers and putting together care packages to send to wildlife hospitals in Victoria and NSW.
We have decided to try to help non funded non profit charities like ourselves as we understand how difficult it is to raise funds at any time let alone in a crisis.
We have reached out to some of these charities already however the further we look the more we find needing help.
We have been collecting soft new blankets, bandages, vet wraps, syringes and burn creams. We also have a few people making bat wraps and animal pouches however if you or anyone you know is interested in helping make these or donate anything we can send please contact us.
Our hearts go out to not only the animals but also the people working day and night to help the surviving animals.”
