Wigtownshire Wildlife Photographer Raises Almost £2000 For Charity

Local Wildlife photographer Sheena Ramsay recently raised £1860 for charity by selling her 2020 wildlife calendar.

Sheena told DGWGO “On Wednesday the 4th of March, I presented cheques, for £930 each, to representatives of the two charities benefiting from the sale of my calendars, Murray Irving MBE  received the cheque as Chairman of Macmillan Cancer Support, Stranraer Committee and Hazel Hughes, Heart Failure Nurse Specialist at the Galloway Community Hospital, received the cheque on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
Thank you to everyone who bought calendars and special thanks go to Briars Engravers in Wigtown, Galbraith, Castle Douglas, Creative Gifts, The Cancer Drop in Centre, Academy Vets, Leswalt Store, Glenluce Gun Room, Tarff Valley, Mum & Dad, Lorraine, Diane, Gillian, Mairi, Heather and all who helped to sell calendars. This was a team effort and I am over the moon with our final amount. THANK YOU ALL! 😊”
