CHARNWOOD LODGE RESIDENTS TAKE A TRIP TO PALMERSTON

Some residents of Charnwood Lodge recently paid a visit to Palmerston. Commercial manager Jim Thomson took time out to give them a tour of the stadium and the facilities we have within the Arena. They appeared to enjoy their time with us and finished off their visit with coffee and cake at the cafe.

Not all of those who would have liked to take part in the tour were able to, so for those residents, Jim accompanied by captain Chris Higgins, Iain Russell and Mark Millar paid a visit to Charnwood lodge to say hello.

Jim Thomson said “As we so often say, Queen of the South are a community club so it’s important for us to be out and about within the town. We have our programme which takes us into the schools across the region which is great and allows the club to interact with the younger generation but we have to remember the older generations too. Many of these ladies and gentlemen would have possibly at one point attended Palmerston on a regular basis but for various reason can no longer do so. We as a club don’t want them to be forgotten so we see it as part of our duty to make time for them. Queen of the South Football Club isn’t just about the game on a Saturday”.
