DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY MSP CONGRATULATES ANNAN’S COCHRAN BOILER APPRENTICES

The latest group to graduate from Cochran Boiler’s  apprenticeship scheme can look forward to rewarding careers, an MSP has said.

The seven apprentices have all been offered permanent tradesmen contracts with Cochran who are based at Newbie Works, Annan, Dumfries & Galloway

The  MSP was commenting after being invited to present the young recruits with their certificates at graduation last week.

Ms McAlpine said:

“Cochran’s run a fantastic apprenticeship programme and it is great to see these youngsters being offered permanent contracts with the company.

“This will ensure Cochran has a new generation of engineers capable of driving the business forward into the future.

She added:

“I know that as a former apprentice himself, Managing Director Tom Ritchie can really see the benefits of taking on young apprentices.

“That’s why Cochran as a company have invested so heavily in this successful scheme. I wish the young graduates every success in their careers.”
