NEW CATERERS START AT KIRROUGHTREE VISITOR CENTRE

Forestry Commission Scotland has appointed Churchill Catering Ltd to run the café services at Kirroughtree visitor centre.

Churchill will start early in 2015 and were the successful bidders after an open tendering process took place.

Keith Muir, Forestry Commission Scotland’s recreation and tourism manager said:

“We are very pleased to be working with Churchill Catering – they have a good understanding of our business and already run the catering in other areas within the Forestry Commission.

“I’d like to thank our current caterers Cream O’Galloway for helping get our new visitor centre off to a great first year.

“We’ll all be working together to ensure a seamless transition of catering so that visitors will continue to be well looked after.”

Churchill Catering is a family managed business operating services in England and Scotland at several Forestry Commission locations including Edinburgh, Lake District, Norfolk and Kent.

Tony Nicoll, Managing Director of Churchill Catering added:

“We are delighted to have won the contract to manage the visitor centre restaurant and retail outlet at Kirroughtree. Our objective is to provide an excellent range of home-made products using local produce wherever possible.”

The new caterers will be open for business everyday commencing Saturday 10th January 2015.
