POLICE INVESTIGATE THEFT OF £4000 WORTH OF NITROUS OXIDE FROM DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY ROYAL INFIRMARY

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Police are investigating the theft of 26 nitrous oxide gas cylinders with a value of around £4000 from the gas compound store at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The cylinders are blue in colour and approximately 5’ 6” tall and each holds some 9000 litres of the gas. The theft appears to have occurred sometime between Saturday 3 and Tuesday 6 January 2014. At this stage police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the rear of DGRI between these times and who may have seen something suspicious. In particular police are keen to trace the two occupants of a white coloured van which had two roof bars fitted which was seen in the area between 1400 hours and 1700 hours on Sunday 4 January 2014.
