Ayrshire Real Ale Festival Makes A Welcome Return

After a two year hiatus, the Ayrshire Real Ale Festival is back in October 2022.

Organised by the Ayrshire and Wigtownshire branch of CAMRA, the event is Scotland’s largest Real Ale Festival and massively popular with Real Ale drinkers. The Festival will take place 6-8th October in the Troon Concert Hall.

Tickets cost £5 for CAMRA members and £7 for non members. The ticket price includes a glass which can also be used as a pass to re-enter the festival.

As well as Ales from local brewers such as Ayr Brewing Company and Isle of Arran Brewery, the main bar has Ales from all over the Uk, whilst The Walker Hall bar has a Manchester brewers theme. Pints start from £3.60, 1/2 and 1/3 pint measures are available to allow you to sample a wider variety of Ales

If you’d prefer a different drink to Ale, then there is plenty of choice. The event includes a range of perries, ciders, wine and a gin bar.

Live entertainment on the Friday night is provided by Binky Blue, Saturday night the Lynsey Dolan band and during the afternoon on the Saturday Blackrock Pipe Band will play a few sessions.

As well as getting a reduced price ticket, CAMRA members are also eligible to enter the festival preview afternoon on Thursday from 12noon to 2pm, giving them the first chance to sample the range of Ales.

The Festival opens its doors to the public on Thursday 6th from 2pm till 11pm, Friday 7th 11am till 11pm and on Saturday 8th 11am till 10pm.

Only over 18s are allowed to enter the festival, and no dogs are able to enter apart from registered assistance dogs. Full information is available at www.ayrshirebeerfestival.co.uk/
