A Place to Escape From it All – Scotland’s most romantic destination since 1754
Opening it’s doors for the first time today, Saturday 1st of July, 1 Little Farm, is a brand new venture for local farming family The McConchie’s of Mossyard farm, near Gatehouse of Fleet, in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway.
The New shop is offering Murray and amy McConchie’s own fresh and frozen pork, lamb and beef. They also have fresh bread, Milk, Eggs, homebaking and lots of pies and other local produce too.
Amy told DGWGO “Reaching our goal of opening a wee farm shop is finally here! We have taken the opportunity to embark on this fantastic journey as we feel our home grown meat tastes fantastic and we want to share it!”
Murray said “We are passionate about Agritourism and finding sustainable ways of making our small farming enterprise work as the agricultural industry has become challenging due to rising prices. We hope the farm shop will be a welcome addition to locals and holidaymakers who want to collect a coffee, a wee cake or even that nights steak or sausages for tea!”
The McConchies finished off by saying “We hope people will pop in to see what we are all about – and even tie it in with a wee trip to the beach. So please do pop in and see us, sit on our benches and enjoy some fair trade coffee and cake!”
For the first 2-3 weeks we will be open:
Wednesday – Sunday 10am – 4pm
Please pop down, there is parking just beside the shop…all you need to do is follow the signs
