Sulwath Brewery Takes Bronze with Black Galloway

Castle Douglas Brewery owner Allen Henderson recently received his Champion Beer of Scotland 2017 Bronze winner certificate for Black Galloway by Keith Bruce and Trevor Hayward of the local CAMRA Branch.

The presentation was made at a CAMRA “Meet The Brewer” attended by local licensees and CAMRA members who had the opportunity to taste the award winning ale.

At the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh, the winners of all the competition heats held at the various beer festivals throughout 2016 were sampled, in a blind tasting, by a panel of judges to determine the Champion Beer of Scotland 2017.

Black Galloway from Sulwath Brewery in Castle Douglas was awarded Bronze. Chairman of the local CAMRA group, Trevor Hayward said:

“Allen and his team at Sulwath continue to rack up the awards for their Black Galloway beer. Keep up the good work!”
