Annan Harbour Action Group are hosting their annual torchlit walk, in celebration of the Winter Solstice. The public are invited to join the walk from Barnkirk Point at Newbie, Waterfoot to Annan Harbour for food, hot drinks, and some seasonal music, on the early evening of Sunday 18th December.
A Spokesperson said “The ACT bus will transport walkers to the Annandale way Cairn at Newbie Barns from outside Bridge House on the High Street, opposite the Blue Bell, from 4.00pm and will run continuously until 5.15. Walkers will make their way down to muster at the Barnkirk Point by following the shore side loaning. Hot chocolate will be served around the bonfire where some torches will be lit. The 2 mile walk into Annan will set off at 5.30pm. On approach to the harbour, you will be met with festive music, lit Braziers and AHAG’S new Coffee Shack, where hot drinks and refreshments can be purchased.
