Crawick Multiverse To Hold Charity Open Day This Sunday

The Stunning Crawick Multiverse, near Sanquhar, Dumfries and Galloway is to open its gates this Sunday, May the 5th as part of the Scotland’s Gardens Scheme to raise money for Maggies Centres.

Crawick Multiverse is a major land art restoration project on the Duke of Buccleuch’s Queensberry Estate in Dumfriesshire. Created by landscape architect Charles Jencks (Who Also designed The Garden of Cosmic Speculation near Dumfries), the former open-cast coal mine has been transformed into a stunning representation of theories of the universe, linking the themes of space, astronomy and cosmology, using the ecology of the site, and the materials found within, to inspire its design.

Sunday 5 May, 10am – 4pm (2019)
Admission £5.00, children free.

 

Directions: From Sanquhar, head to Kirkconnel, turn right on the B740 Crawfordjohn, as you travel on the B740 after 250 yards you will pass under a viaduct (rail bridge) take the second exit on the left approximately 100 yards past the viaduct.
