CLASSIC CARS AND D&G BLOOD BIKES TO VISIT THE MULL OF GALLOWAY

The Mull of Galloway Trust welcomes the Dumfries Classic Wheels Car Club and one of the Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bikes on Sunday 24th April from 1pm to 4pm promising a great day out for motoring enthusiasts.

Around 30 iconic and classic vehicles are expected to arrive at the lighthouse at around 1pm on Sunday afternoon where they will be parked until 4pm. This provides photographic opportunities for visitors to the Mull of Galloway and a perfect opportunity for a “bird’s eye view” of the vehicles from the top of the lighthouse. The vehicles will be displayed for a couple of hours allowing visitors to admire the vehicles, chat to the drivers and enjoy the atmosphere.

Meet a volunteer rider and see one of the six motor bikes of the Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bike Team, a charity transporting urgent medical samples and supplies within the Dumfries and Galloway region and beyond. Using motor bikes for the efficient transfer makes a difference to patients’ lives in the region. There is no charge to the NHS for this service and all the money raised is spent within Dumfries and Galloway. There are six bikes based across the region and over 60 members with the roles of riders, controllers and volunteers.
