In a celebration steeped in tradition, Dumfries came alive today with the revered Riding of the Marches event, held annually during the Guid Nychburris festival.
The town’s boundaries were safeguarded and its heritage was proudly displayed as riders on horseback embarked on a ceremonial journey.
Local residents and visitors gathered in anticipation, eager to witness this time-honoured spectacle.
