EXPERIENCE FAMILY EASTER FUN AT MULL OF GALLOWAY

The Mull of Galloway Experience is planning to celebrate Easter at Scotland’s most southerly point on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March.
On Saturday the activities start at 10am until 4pm with an Easter Egg Trail with RSPB and a children’s merry-go-round by the Lighthouse.
Local crafters from the Kirkmaiden area and further afield will be displaying and selling their crafts on Sunday from 10am until 4pm, together with children’s merry-go-ground and fun prize stalls.
The Mull of Galloway Lighthouse and Exhibition will be open from Friday 25th March at 10am and throughout the Easter weekend and school holidays with extended opening hours for the tower until 10th April. The tower will open weekends, bank holidays and school holidays throughout the season and the Exhibition will be open daily until 30th October.
RSPB staff and volunteers are now on-site and the cliff mounted cameras are installed, Gallie Craig coffee house will be open 7 days a week from Easter.
New for the season is the new signage around the Mull of Galloway reserve and lighthouse to include interpretation panels about history, flora and fauna and the Beaufighter air crash in 1944. This new signage will help communicate important aspects to visitors about Scotland’s most southerly point and provide facts, information and guidance to visitors in order to increase their enjoyment of the reserve and lighthouse. The Mull of Galloway Trust have worked closely with RSPB and their design team and local business Scot Signs manufactured and installed the panels.
The Lightkeeper’s Garden project continues this season and volunteers are very welcome to join us. The living willow structure is now in place and this is an interactive 6ft boat in which children can play inside once the garden is officially open. Raised vegetable plots, a decking area, plants to encourage wildlife and bug hotels are all included in the plans for the garden.
