The 8th Scottish Youth Film Festival will take place in Dumfries from 21st – 23rd October 2022 and is a brilliant opportunity for locals to meet social media star Miss PunnyPenny, Director John McPhail (Anna and the Apocalypse), actors Rachael Keiller (Edie, River City) and Andy Rothney (The Matrix Resurrections, The Undeclared War), as well as many other special guests.
The festival opens on Friday night with a special screening of Tremors at the Robert Burns Centre at 6pm.
On Saturday 22nd, it’s the day for 13-19 year olds and there will be workshops, panels, screenings and Award ceremony.
On Sunday, they will be focusing on the 12 and under age range with lots of hands on filmmaking activities, zombie make-up, animation, screenings and Awards.
It’s all free!
The Scottish Youth Film Foundation is a charity which aims to improve the life outcomes of young people in Scotland through film. We do this in three ways, our annual festival, through film education in schools, and through Outreach film projects that target young people who would not normally have an opportunity to make a film.
