Get Ready To Be Spooked at the Moffat Hallow-Window Walk

The Moffat Promotions Group and the team behind Mostly Ghostly Tours are teaming up to deliver a spooky and spectacular Halloween in the town.

Following the recent disappointment of the cancellation of the sheep races, the Promotions Group were determined to put on a free event for the people of Moffat and beyond and thought Halloween would be an ideal time to do so.

Discussions with the Mostly Ghostly team, who showcase the area in a spooky light went positively and they are now working together to deliver a Halloween full of activities for all the family. Please keep an eye on our new facebook page for latest details ‘Moffat Promotions Group’

There are events planned for the whole week in the lead up to Halloween and they are hoping the whole town gets involved in the spirit of all things scary, including shops and businesses getting involved by dressing their windows spookily.

The highlight will be a spooky child friendly walk around the town on Wednesday 25th October at 7pm  led by the Mostly Ghostly Team finishing in the Proudfoot Institute with chats, doukin for apples and much more fun, with the fact that Moffat is a darky sky town also going to be beneficial.

Other events planned include a Halloween disco ran by the Upper Annandale football team on Saturday 28th October at the town hall, while there will be a chance to see one of the all time classic horror flicks, The Wickerman at the Old Well Theatre.

And some good old doukin for apples will take place as well!

The Green Frog will also be running a Halloween style event on Sunday 29th October.

The full final programme of events is still being finalised, but the Promotions team alongside the Mostly Ghostly team are hoping that as Halloween approaches, everywhere in Moffat will get involved by doing up their house in a spooky Halloween style!

If you have any spooky stories from your house or business that you’d like to share for the tour, then that would be greatly appreciated. Please contact [email protected]
