[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Open Farm Sunday is back at Ernespie Farm, Castle Douglas this weekend, Sunday June 4th at 11.00am until 3.00pm and it promises to be a fun day for all the family.
David McMicken from Ernespie Farm Told DGWGO “Following the success of our Open Farm in 2016 Ernespie Farm is once again opening its doors to the public. This is guaranteed to be a fun, free family day out. This is your chance to come and experience a busy working farm. We have lots planned for the day.
Why not come and meet the animals, view machinery, enjoy a tractor ride and see how the milk that you put in your cereal is produced. There will be a milking demonstration at 1pm.
Test your knowledge with our Ernespie farm quiz or have some fun with the scavenger hunt and wellie throwing.
Try some samples of dairy products that are produced by our milk. Arla will be offering free food samples throughout our open farm day.
We are serving freshly cooked burgers on the BBQ. There will be a small charge involved for our BBQ and all funds raised will be donated to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland (MND).”
