Swan Spectacular at WWT Caerlaverock This Weekend

This weekend celebrates the swans that visit WWT Caerlaverock every winter.

Events will include swan crafts and activities for families, talks, swan feeds, workshops and lots of opportunities to see and learn about our beautiful and characterful whooper swans and mute swans, as well as find out about what WWT is doing to protect swan species around the world.

Saturday 8 February

11am-12: Talk: ‘Wild swan chases in Iceland and Russia’ by Kane Brides, WWT Research Officer, Species Science.
11am: Wild Swan Feed
1pm: Swan Sounds Workshop for Kids
2pm: Wild Swan Feed
2.30 – 3.30pm: Q&A session

Sunday 9 February

11am – 12: Talk: ‘The Story of Supersonic Bill and friends’ by Brian Morrell, Centre Manager
11am: Wild Swan Feed
1pm: Swan stories in the yurt
2pm: Wild Swan Feed
2.30 – 3.30pm: Talk: ‘Whooper Swan Stories’ by Faith Hillier, Engagement Officer

Terms & Conditions

10am – 5pm. Normal admission charges apply, WWT members free.
