Thrilling Horse Stunts to Headline Country Fair – Drumlanrig

Premier equine and canine stunt team Les amis d’onno has been announced as the headline entertainment for Galloway Country Fair (GCF) this year.

Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate will provide the backdrop for crowds to witness breath-taking and death defying horseback tricks from the stunt team that have featured in popular TV drama Outlander.

Les amis d’onno’s performance at Galloway County Fair will have an Outlander theme – a perfect fit as host venue Drumlanrig Castle provided the setting for scenes of the programmes second season.

Showcasing the best of country pursuits, local craftsmanship, artisan food and drink as well as show-stopping entertainment, it is a not-to-be-missed celebration of rural life.

Confirmed acts for 2018 so far include the comical Sheep Show, gundog displays from John Halstead and a scurry provided by Galloway Gundogs, terrier racing and the Dog and Duck Show. Recently added to the list of confirmed acts is Elite Falconry who will be on site to give visitors the chance to see and handle birds of prey.

The free children’s activity zone featuring horse rides on the Blackstone Clydesdales, bouncy castles and archery from Team Challenge and Puppet Lab’s Forest Creatures Show will all be back by popular demand for this year.

Anna Fergusson, Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate Manager, said: “We are delighted to announce Les amis d’onno will headline the Fair for 2018.
“I’m sure it will be a showstopper performance as they bring their energetic and theatrical tricks to the Buccleuch ring this summer.
“Be sure to book your tickets now and take advantage of our early bird discount.”
