Dumfries, Scotland (UK) — Monday 4 May, 2015; Albatec Racing has secured support from British lubricants giant Rock Oil for its 2015 campaigns in the FIA European Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, and MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with the Shannon Group.
Rock Oil’s World Championship winning performances, leading to blending and manufacturing lubricants for some of the world’s top motorcycle, car and engine manufacturers will complement Albatec’s bid for title glory on both the British and European stage with its pair of 600bhp two litre 16v Peugeot 208 Supercars.
Based in Warrington and with sales offices and distribution outlets throughout the UK, and importers in over 50 countries worldwide; including Australia, Chile, Germany, Malaysia, Sierra Leone & USA, Rock Oil produces in excess of 20,000,000 litres per annum. This technical expertise is backed up by the numerous World and British Championships won by Rock Oils long list of former and current racing pilots. In 2014 alone they worked with over 10 British and European champions.
While Albatec is a relatively new name on the rallycross scene, Rock Oil has been producing world-class lubrication for over 85 years, and though famous for involvement in motor sport, its major activities are in the agricultural, automotive, commercial, industrial, marine, motorcycle and leisure markets. Extensive research and development work ensures that existing ranges are improved and new products are designed to meet emerging standards and approvals. Rock also has a long record of launching innovative products, especially for racing and its top tier racing lubricant Carbon is testament to this technical prowess.
Announced just a week before round three of BritishRX at Pembrey, Rock Oil will adorn all Albatec Racing’s competition vehicles, including the Peugeot 208RX of championship leader Andy Scott who bids for a third successive BRX win in Wales.
