Galloway Cricket Club Ladies Indoor Training: Come along and have a Bash!

Summer may be over and the nights are drawing in but there is still the chance to play cricket in the winter season. Indoor cricket is fast, furious and fun. It is played with soft balls and plastic bats and rain never stops play!

Galloway Cricket Club Ladies are running indoor training sessions over the winter on a Wednesday evening 7-9pm at Castle Douglas High School for ladies and girls of all ages. We are fortunate to have a great coach visiting Scotland from South Africa who leads the sessions which are always fun. We are keen to attract new members and would welcome any ladies or girls who want to come and have a try. We had two successful open events over the summer attracting new members who have discovered the joy of cricket. If you would like to make new friends, learn a new skill and be active then consider giving it a go, you would be most welcome. Contact Natalie Hamblin 07872 909010 for further information.

Cricket Scotland run “The Wee Bash” series of tournaments for ladies and girls over the winter. This six-a-side format gives everyone a chance to experience the game in a fun and friendly environment. The first tournament is in Glasgow on 28th October and Galloway hopes to send two teams. http://www.cricketscotland.com/open-age-cricket/womens-cricket/
