GOLDIE RETURNS FOR SEVENTH SEASON ON SHARKS BLUELINE

Defenceman Frazer Goldie is the latest player to sign up for Dumfries based Solway Sharks
15-16 NIHL season.

The 24-year-old from Irvine will play a seventh season in Sharks colours, since making his debut in 2008.

Goldie has also played EPL in Sheffield and Elite League in Edinburgh as well as picking up a gold medal with GB U18 in 2009.

After a season where the left-shot blueliner could only ice in ten league games, coach Martin Grubb is pleased to reach an agreement to have the player at Dumfries once more.

“I am delighted Frazer is coming back for another season and we have been able to work out a way where he is able to play.

“Frazer is a key part of our defensive unit as he adds toughness and a presence in his own zone and has good experience at both this level and higher.

“He wasn’t available much of last year due to personal circumstances but we were determined to ensure we could get him back this year as he fits in well to our team.

“He plays special teams for us and is good in his own zone and has always chipped in with an offensive contributions and I am looking forward to seeing him back in our line up.

“We now have a good mix of youth and experience and look forward to continually improving and working hard every week.”
