Dougie The Doonhamer See’s Double as he Wins Ladbrokes SPFL Mascot Race Again

Queen of the South mascot Dougie the Doonhamer is no lazy bones, on Friday August 31st hw won the Ladbrokes SPFL mascot race for the second year running!

Dougie crossed the line just ahead of Motherwell’s Steelman in the event staged at Hamilton Racecourse on Friday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Queen of the South satred “We’re delighted to congratulate our own Dougie the Doonhamer on winning the SPFL Mascot Race 2018. It’s a second successive win for Dougie who also triumphed last year. For the second year in a row, pre-race favourite Cappie the Cat from Morton took fright before the start line and withdrew.”
